Well our suffering is officially over now. In June 2007 the park's remains were destroyed to make way for developers. At least we will not have to see our beloved park in that state any more!  The Palladium and the Shore Dinner Hall are the only buildings that are standing.  Even the Main Gate is gone.

Now I have more bad news for you.  The Rocky Point Chowder House on Post road has officially closed and is out of business.  Yet another tradition broken.  Me and my family would love to go there and get some chowder and clam cakes and head to Oakland beach and eat by the water.  I was hoping that place would be open forever!  I am very sorry for the owner, and wish him nothing but the best!
